I tried using the amex app to join the waitlist. Surprisingly, it immeidately gave me an access QR code good for 10mins. I booked it over the the lounge and was told that the QR code is meaningless and I still have to wait in line. It was very annoying.
How are we to know if/when the lounge is actually using the app for waitlist and when it's crying wolf?
