I haven't read that thread, but I checked and my ticket number does indeed start with 027.

I may actually be wrong about my original calculation of EQMs. I equated the "R" fare class when booking on AS to QR's "R" fare class, which is "Business Classic". Per the earn rates showing on the T&C's, AS treats "R" fare class as a premium economy fare. So if I'm now reading this right, even though my ticket is for an international business class seat, it will be credited to EQMs as a premium economy fare. That's a bummer and might mean I cancel this ticket, as that was the primary driver for taking a much longer flight home.
