Funny how supposed 'frequent flyers' worry so much about timing, hard and soft product but rarely bring aircraft type into the equation. A380, A350 and B787 are where you want to be on long and ultra long haul. I wouldn't ever waste my money sitting on a 777 longer than a few hours max. Life is way too short.
Interesting points about superior cabin humidity and lower engine noise on the A350 which I agree with. However I don't think the B777 is that much worse to the point where I'd go out of my way to avoid it. It's still a solid product especially if you are flying PEY or J. I actually find the first generation PEY seats on 77A/77K to be slightly wider than the newer PEY seats on the A350 or 77J. Cirrus J is also holding up well considering the fact that it's been around for well over a decade. Obviously the technology with the IFE is very dated but I still find the seat quite comfortable by today's standards. Seat width in both upright and flat bed mode is perhaps one of its strongest features.
