The cynic in me would suggest this just gives BA ( and Aer Lingus who announced the same this week ) the opportunity to tell customers who are calling up and 'annoying' them with AirTag information to just add the link into a pretty redundant text field on the WorldTracer report where it can then be ignored and baggage would be reconciled in the usual way anyway .. highly unlikely anyone is going to do anything with the information ( or even look at the AirTag locations), but it might make frustrated customers feel a little better until they work out it's a sham too !
Would perhaps help if BA announced how they will be using AirTag data. Not noticed any announcements so you may be right.
