Oh gosh, good luck with that. I lost my AirPods once as well and it took forever to get them back -- however I did get them back. They are notoriously difficult to get in touch with. It required me contacting the airport directly many times, the Qatar office at my local airport (Bangkok), and QR customer support who then opened a ticket to investigate. The ticket with customer service to investigate was what finally moved things along.
