Never more than 2 seats in J with Avios to Uruguay/Argentina per flight in my experience.

what I sometimes do is book and pay H fare and then upgrade using Avios if available/applicable.

as stated above when you get a ticket with Avios, you can’t upgrade that ticket, again my experience
