I'm not aware that the wallet credit expiration for cancelled flights has been changed (outside of the 24 hour free cancellation period). Unless I am mistaken, those funds will still expire in a year after the original ticket purchase.

And if you cancel within 24 hours, there should be no expiration at all (assuming the wallet funds did not have an expiration date previously).
