I will need to fly from BKK/HKG to Moscow in the coming months, and while I could happily fly Qatar, Etihad, Turkish or Gulf Air, I thought maybe worth trying something different (and less expensive) and trying one of the Mainland carriers and their huge variety of flights from China to Russia. Living in Hong Kong, I was eyeing the SZX/CAN-Moscow nonstops on CZ, but also don't mind leaving from HKG and connecting somewhere in China.

(I know Aeroflot is also a viable option but, even if it's a bit irrational, I'm wary of their supply chain network for spare parts these days).

A bit of research on Aerolopa shows that CA, MU, CZ, HU etc have a nearly endless range of configurations, in particular on the various A330s operated by these airlines.

So, if I can narrow down routing options that give the best hard product, and if pricing is similar, which airline overall would you choose?

Having reasonable Wifi is important to me, and for this one trip, I don't put much emphasis on frequent flyer earning.

Some of you here are well-known as Chinese airline experts, so I look forward to your opinion.
