I have a schedule change ribbon in My Trips section of the Alaska Airlines App for a DE award flight in May. Per the App, the change requires a call. Doing a dummy booking to see what the potential change could be, the only thing I see is that the arrival time is now five minutes later. Would they seriously require me to make a phone call to address such a minor change? As an aside, the one-way award cost me 55,000 miles in J, and the current price is $3,700!
I actually had a schedule change notice for a trip in May and when the agent looked it up she said the times and flight #s are all the same and she hadn't seen something like this in her over 20 years of working for AS...weird. On the flip side, even as recent as a few years ago, I could count on at least one (usually multiple) schedule change for just about every trip I booked but that number has gone way down so I know now to book the flights I actually can fly and not hope for a schedule change so I can switch to a more preferred routing/time.
