Just got a letter from Barclays. They said the cardholder agreement regarding the 99.00 annual fee being waived the first year was wrong. They said sorry. Appears they are going to charge me the 99.00 AF which they said they were not going to charge in the first year. Got the card about 2 months ago. Spend has been done and AA miles are in my account. Barclays is so incompetent. Can they do this legally? i suppose so as they are trying to do it.
