I mean yeah it's like a Grand Hyatt or Andaz not being worried about the Hyatt Place down the street cannibalizing their sales too much. I was loyal enough to Hyatt (and needed the nights) so I was willing to book the Rio because I don't think it's that bad despite all the hand wringing over breakfast in the Rio thread, but unless the Venetian cash rates are ridiculously high or they somehow don't give elite night credit, there's no world where I book the Rio over the Venetian even if the elite perks at the Venetian are minimal.
