UA does use the T gates for almost all flights, but they do have some arrivals at the D/E concourse for very late arriving flights (think the IAD 10:30pm departure). I am not sure if they use the E gates for some early morning departures, but I believe I have seen it once or twice before. But if you're not on a very early or very late flight, you're almost certainly guaranteed the end of the T gates. Especially departing. I think this would only be a concern if you're on one of those flights in the summer months.
