So I always book both hertz and national just in case the car choice I want isn't available using EE or PC.
But Hertz just recently started to push Pay Now rates at my local International Aiport, and I wanted to get some clarity on the cancellation policy.
It reads the following:Cancellation and No-Show Policy
- Free cancellation within 24 hours of booking.
- $100.00 will be charged if cancelling more than 24 hours before the pickup time.
- $200.00 will be charged if cancelling within 24 hours of the pickup time.
- $412.65 will be charged if you do not cancel prior to pickup, or do not pick up your vehicle.
- Cancellation or No-Show fees will never exceed the total prepaid amount.
If I book right now for a rental tomorrow evening, but decide to cancel in the morning, which part takes precedence?
The free 24 hours cancellation, or the $100 or $200 fee?
