• Accumulation of QPoints is linked to the immediate 12 month period, so you'll need to earn 150 QPoints within 12 months to move from Burgundy to Silver.
  • You will also either need to fly with Qatar 4 times in the previous 12 months, or earn at least 20% of your QPoints from flying with Qatar Airways to move up the ranks.
• QPoints do not reset (unlike Cathay) upon gaining or retaining a tier, so you can keep earning them.
• QR PC Silver will not give you access at HKG. QR PC Silver is equivalent to Oneworld Ruby. You will however gain access to Qatar's Silver Lounge in Doha.

Ultimately the choice is up to you for which program you value more. It is harder to earn status through Cathay, however if you don't fly with Qatar, there is no point to earn with PC.
