Husband is on DL928 ANC-SEA tonight and pre-ordered the shrimp and grits. After takeoff the FA announced no hot meals due to broken ovens and only a limited number of cold meals (not enough for the entire F cabin). Thankfully he ate in the airport before departure as I had dropped him off super early this afternoon. He passed on his meal to allow his seat mate to have one, as he had apparently skipped eating in anticipation of the dinner service.
No offer of compensation and a very uncaring crew from what he relayed. Will submit a complaint for some skypesos. Another premium experience.
Ha, I was on this flight. Sitting in 2B and got a plated charcuterie meal. Not sure what the FA said farther back in the cabin, but she told me that they were proactively giving SkyMiles as compensation. Around the time we landed in SEA I got an email for 2,500 SkyMiles along with an apology, as did my wife. Miles already deposited as well.
Luckily we had a somewhat large lunch so it wasn't too bad.
