Anyone get into japan recently with a reduced dui? Mine was negligent driving, no jail.. just a fine. Really stressed before my trip when I should be looking forward to it. I know this question has probably been asked but I am curious on any recent stories.
If the negligent driving was prosecuted as a traffic violation it is not a misdemeanor and therefore not a criminal offense.
The question on the entry cards states:
Have you ever been found guilty in a criminal case in Japan or another country?
Based on how the charge was prosecuted, you could be completely in the clear.
