I love sundaes. I can, and do, make them frequently at home. Very simple for this single non-cook.
On a premium flight, they are about the last thing I want. If I can make it, then just how 'premium' can it be

When I 'go out' to eat, I want a baked desert. Let someone else worry about learning how to turn the oven on

I'm too full to really want any of the desserts in D1--but might get the cheese plate if there's a good dessert wine to have with it. For me the sundae is also a make-at-home dish.
