I said no problem, provided them my work email, even replied to them via my work email later so they can confirm I am the owner of the email address. At check in they asked AGAIN to give them my company badge. I mentioned I have already gone thru the confirmation process via email, she apologized but insisted she wants to see my badge. Good thing I happened to have my badge in my backpack, but they need to understand not everyone travels with their badge. Also, my company's badge doesn't even show the company name...
Other than these two things, the rest of the stay was fine. I still love this place for the location but I think they're getting a super complacent. Once PH is done renovating and the Toranomon Hills/Azabudai area becomes more developed they need to reconsider where they stand, because after this visit I'm more open to other Hyatts in the city.
If you don't need a Grand Club then Andaz and Hotel Toranomon Hills are much more compelling choices. Pretty indecent of that manager to do an introduction and scolding while you're in the buffet line.
