Do the crew take orders first from status holders? In the last couple of instances, my order was taken before anyone else's while I was seated in row 5. After taking my order, the crew member started from row 1 and worked their way down
A crew member told me once that they were supposed to do this - and that approach was taken on 2 of my flights out of MAN this year, however in the main out of DUB they start at the front and work from there.
