I was unable to use a $50 gift card at the Waldorf Astoria Pedregal in Cabo. The agent had seen this issue many times and has spoken to AMEX about it with no solution being offered. What she tried:
  1. Swiped card for $50 - denied
  2. Manually input number for $50 - denied
  3. Manually input number for $40 - denied
