Speak for yourself . I've been EXP for 20+ years, and mrs, brp for like 18. Pre-retirement, our flying was 90-95% personal. In retirement, we fly as much and will each hit 250K LP this year. I should LT PPro next year and, with continued flying, this could be enough. It will be bad to lose the EXP desk, but may be worth the tradeoff.

As someone who will never reach 5MM (and mrs. brp will not reach 4MM), I still agree with AA's limits. PPro at 3MM and EXP at 4MM does not make sense given the pre-2011 inflation. Yeah, sucks for those coming to the game late. But even as someone "hurt" by these numbers to some degree, I still think it makes sense.

Remember, the goal is to make AA look good, not to help us. They're a business. This is what they're supposed to do. They likely believe that this will increase some incremental flying for folks who suddenly get a LT status.

I also like the idea that, over time, they could decrease the limits as pre-2011 folks age out. It would possibly not swell the ranks too much, and would make AA, again, look good. Which is what it's really all about.

Cheers.
