Arrival.

I arrived by train and walked from the station, it took about 20 minutes and the Google maps directions showed a relatively direct route. Although worth bearing in mind the pavement on the side closest to the station narrows to a width that made dragging a case positively unsafe.
Also the route involved crossing a dual carriageway, it wasn’t obvious that there was an underpass and so crossing the road directly wasn’t ideal!
The pavement/ cycle lane is annoyingly across the road, there isn’t a path on the left hand side as you go across the bridge over the railway line.
This means you have to cross back over (using the underpass) when you reach the Olympiahalle, which is directly opposite the Hotel.
In hindsight taking the bus, would be the easier option, 505,540, 560, 655 all stop outside the Olympiaworld centre, walk back slightly and use the underpass to get to the other side and Hilton Garden Inn.

I had booked a King room for €141 for one night and a separate points redemption for a second night for 77,000 points in a King corner deluxe.
Before arrival both reservations were upgraded, one to a King Junior Suite, the other to a King Studio with kitchenette with sofa bed.
For ease at check in I got them to merge into the King junior suite for both nights, I didn’t need the kitchenette and more important was not needing to change rooms.
