I'll finish this year to Feb about 8000 TPs for which I've spent something like £17k. So yes. You'll find others who have earned well over 10K and for around £2 per TP. Particularly using BAH deals, though I haven't yet, and some of the bigger earners don't either. The idea you have to spend £100K is probably coming from business travel patterns which tend to be direct routings.
