Additionally, are the blocked mini cabin seats (4D/G/K, 5G/K) considered "preferred seats"? As I understand these are blocked until OLCI, and beforehand only selectable by HON/SEN.

Really the debate I have is:
1. Keeping 6D middle bulkhead for the footwell space (my only points of comparison are AC J and ANA F, I have no idea what the footwell space is like for LX J)
2. Pay for a throne seat, CAD 255 to get some semblance of privacy (though the coffin like nature is making me rethink if this is what I want for 7.5 hours)
3. Selecting a seat towards back of plane (row 11 onwards), where I can select 12G/14D as lie flat seats farther from aisle
Check out the pictures here.

Seats are single or in pair. Single seats (in A333) come in 5 different styles:

Bulkhead throne (4A, 6A)
Non bulkhead throne (8A, 10A, 12A)
Bulkhead open to aisle (4K, 6K)
Other open to aisle (8K, 10K, 12K)
Table between seat and aisle (5K, 7K, 9K, 11K, 14K)

Thrones are most private but also boxed in between tables on both sides. Less so in the bulkheads as the footwell is wider.

The K seats also have wider footwells, even ones are more exposed to the aisle, with only the small armrest in between, the odd ones have the small armrest o next to the window.

Seats in pairs come in 4 different sets:

Window pairs (5AB, 7AB, 9AB, 11AB and 14AB)
Middle pairs bulkhead (4DG, 6DG)
Middle pairs non bulkhead even (8DG, 10DG, 12DG)
Middle pairs odd (5DG, 7DG, 9DG, 11DG, 14DG)

Here the main difference is that some of the middle pairs are throne-like, with tables on both sides (odd D, even G seats), the other seat in the pair as well as the B seats are more exposed to the aisle with the small armrest between. The A windows have a small armrest between the seat and the window. The armrests are movable but the mechanism is old and may not always work.

(Writing this I realize that I should no longer criticize Allegris for all its variants ).
