Am I the only one that finds Clear... just a bizarre service? I signed up because it gets reimbursed on my Amex. I have had it save me some time ONCE (at ONT when the morning security line got LONG), but my general experience has been that at SEA and SLC... it's more hassle than it is worth, as long as I am flying AA or AS and can use the premium/1st lane, those are faster.
The whole experience of them clicking the screen and checking me in, then awkwardly escorting me to the TSA checker person... I dunno. It seems like a dumb service.
I know I am also the weird one that has never bothered with TSA pre-check, again for same reason: The process isn't faster than 1st/MVP lanes, which is like 90% of my flying.
I feel the same way, always feel like im scanning my eyes 3 times for match. However, at MCO C recently I used their new facial rec kiosk... it is MUCH faster. Reminds me of the newer Global Entry kiosks in terms of efficiency.
However, I believe the Kiosks at PDX are the old model.
