Ouch, got it. It does look like I can get the ET operated flight about 4.5 hours later for the same price, but it's not always the case on that route. I've been in Cairo so many times this year that getting out 4.5 hours earlier is highly desired, LOL.
Do you reckon they'd sell the voucher for $70 at the transfer desk like they do for separate ET tickets? I don't want to find myself in a situation where I have to get a VOA + my own hotel since the layover is something like 14 or 16 hours in total. I've stayed in the new EY lounge for that long because I had a lot of work to catch up on and could use their sleeping room for a while, but the ET lounge is definitely not the new EY lounge

Even that EY one I'd have preferred to go get a hotel but was a few days before the F1 and everything was approaching US$1000 a night.
