I only just discovered that the seat number of F seats varies by aircraft type
I have been flying AA for over 35 years, a significant amount of the time in domestic F, and I only just discovered today that F seat numbering varies by aircraft type. I flew DFW-MSY in 2E yesterday, and am flying MSY-DFW in 2D tomorrow, even though they both are the right-side aisle seats in the second row. (Does AA still number the first row of F as row 3 on some aircraft? And am I correct in calling it the right side even though it's on the left as you enter the aircraft, or am I wrong about that, too?) Particularly now with aa.com and the aa.app, I select my seats visually (I prefer an aisle seat as far forward as possible, although preferably not the bulkhead) rather than by row or seat number. Still, I though that with my 35+ years of flying and 20+ years on FT, I'd know this by now!
(By the way, the best aspect of the traumatic brain injury I had from a serious bicycle accident nearly three years ago is that I get to blame everything like this on the accident, and not on my ever increasing age!)
