Warranties in EU might therefore be difficult to handle, which might still push me to stick to Rimowa, which has a store in my home city..
I am interested as well. While I have a few smaller Rimowa's (old flight attendant bag and the old briefcase), some of my friends/co-workers have cooled on them due to warranty, etc. The Sterling Pacific looks absolutely bombproof. Also, it weighs 12# empty, which is a lot of dead weight before I fill it with denim and other heavy materials.
I have been a die hard Travelpro owner for the last 20 years, and their bags have gone to complete garbage. Sad...
PS -- I have noticed a distinct difference in travel weight since my wardrobe switched from suits exclusively to denim/denim-weight. It's a side effect of going casual that I never thought of.
