This just happened over the past week at Aloft Wahid Hasyim Jakarta. I had a flight arriving at 4.30am and booked a 4 night stay starting the night before. I had emailed the hotel when reservation was booked (flexible rate) and they assured me it would be ok.
Fast forward to check in day, I messaged the hotel and another person assured me it would be ok.
Checked in at 6.30am and was asked to sign a paper stating stay was for 3 nights. They assured me this would be corrected by the time I check out. That's the 3rd person.
My app now shows a 3 night stay and I asked a 4th person and assured me it would be ok.
On day of check out, I get a printed invoice stating my stay was for 3 night. I pointed this out and received another copy with corrected dates. Assured me it would be ok.
My stay posts and what did I get? A 3 night stay.
Very disappointing as I never had an issue with this before other than this particular hotel
