We been to Hawaii and Cali with baby. We have a travel stroller and carrier and we know some places won’t let us take the baby so we will look for alternatives. We won’t really need to eat at upmarket dining options. In Singapore we eat at hawker stalls and in Vietnam we eat at mom and pop places. Rarely do we eat fine dining outside of US. Though we like our share of fine dining it’s no big deal we just prefer good local places and if it’s cheap then it’s even better. And like I say, different people travel for different reasons, for us food is the only reason we travel. I wouldn’t mind taking my kid to Disney or temples for my wife or something but we don’t care about museums or anything like that. Sure a few tourist traps here and there but we try to make food the number 1 thing.

Have a fun trip. I'd suggest you google around about taking an infant to upmarket dining options.

I like the food in japan but japan has a lot of stuff that's way more interesting than food.
