If I recall correctly, I have had stays consisting of several reservations with different payment methods (say, a bunch of revenue nights and a bunch of award nights) and when I got to the hotel, they weren’t merged and I actually had to get them to redo the keys on the morning when the first reservation ended. It’s an internal merge this happens at check in this is per hotel managers and Hyatt I’ve spoken to about this. I’ve already provided best advice for OP.
