Air Asia cancellation
I have an Air Asia ticket booked. Sadly due to family medical issues I can’t travel. I understand that for my itinerary they don’t give refunds and I’m fine with that—the credit card I bought the ticket with has trip cancellation insurance for my type of circumstance.
My challenge relates to documentation for the insurance claim. There doesn’t seem to be a way to officially cancel the reservation which I could then show to insurance company—the Air Asia guidance just says that if you don’t board you can claim taxes back after. Similarly there doesn’t seem to be a receipt showing price paid—only and option to ask for a tax invoice which arrives after two weeks…I assume that will include the price paid?
Grateful for any guidance…
