The status thresholds and SC visit limits get reset back to the original September 2023 proposal, and a new credit card enters the picture with a four figure annual fee, unlimited SC access, and a bunch of other benefits. One interesting bit of the process could be Delta and Amex mining this year's data to see how many changed their spending habits to put $75k on the card to get unlimited SC access, and balancing that against the money they'd make off a new credit card with a higher annual fee.
This sounds like a difficult math needle to thread. Push that AF too high, and it becomes a viable and attractive option to 1) buy individual sky club membership, and 2) downgrade the DL Reserve AmEx to DL Platinum Amex: a combined cost of $900, and providing a compelling, if not better, value proposition.
