Couple of questions...hoping someone will have the answers. I'm looking to book 2 Aeroplan reward fares from YYT-YVR on Sept 19 2025. Planning to book Latitude fares and hope to use eUps right after booking.
When I try to book YYT-YUL-YVR it waitlists the upgrade for both flights with Latitude fare. If I choose to search for only the YUL-YVR leg it shows the upgrade is available with a latitude fare. Both searched as point redemptions. Why would it show the upgrade available when searching this way?
Flights in question are AC1519 and AC303.
Next question...I have 55 upgrade credits expiring Jan 16 2025. So I'm assuming I wont be able to use these credits for these flights since they are after the expiry date? I'll have new credits in January when my status renews....do I have to wait to try and upgrade these flights until the new credits are deposited? Further to that I have an Infinite Privilege visa which is supposed to extend the expiry of some of these expiry credits for 24 months but it doesn't look like that is reflected in my eupgrade credit info..hoping to be able to secure the upgrades now while they are available, just not sure how it works in this case.

Yes you won't be able to upgrade until you have upgrades with the proper expiry. Only credits earned after June 30 have 24 month expiry. You can review your credit history to see if the expires are correct. If corrrect you will have to wait until the rollover or new benefits in Jan/Feb. Note that the rollover is only available if you held the card prior to June 30, and the e up 24 mo expiry only applies after you held the card, properly linked to your account.
