YVR concierge met me at the gate and gave me a card and a lovely origami bird that sits next to my MM plane. I said nary a word in advance so it was a total surprise for me and made the experience all the more meaningful. That being the case, I am not sure how they keep track of this for all who cross these milestones.

l crossed over 2MM mark on a long haul flight earlier this week. Unbeknownst to me, a colleague had called the local Concierge to advise them of my milestone, but there was zero done on their part. The onboard in-charge gifted me a bottle of champagne 🍾 after my colleague informed them of this being a special flight for me, so that was nice. Wasn’t surprised or disappointed that nothing formal was done, but was after hearing that they had been called.
