You can earn SP on CX between AKL and HKG (only) providing it under a NZ codeshare, the SPs even could as “AirNZ Metal” for Elite renewal requirements:

Airpoints members can earn Status Points at the Air New Zealand rate when travelling on a flight booked with an NZ flight number between New Zealand and Hong Kong, even if it is operated by Cathay Pacific.

Status Points are not able to be earned on flights booked with a CX flight number or any other flight number that does not begin with NZ.
