As Alaska's CEO admitted, their transcons aren't as competitive as the others, so I'm curious to what extend will they invest in these routes.
My main route is SFO-JFK, and I take it 6-8 x per year. Usually on AA, but also on AS. I think AA has better (and definitely more) food. I'm lifetime AC member for club usage, and don't have to join the AS club, since I'm always comp'd on club usage on AS transcend in F. I would add that, as reasonable as most AS clubs are, any of AA's clubs at JFK are better. I'm glad I have the option to fly both carriers, though.
