Single night Surpass FNA stay to punctuate extended stay in area for work. Able to select King Superior room as "Standard", which proved to be amply spacious and comfortable for me - most certainly, this would be considered a junior suite at other properties. Checked in shortly after 1 pm without difficulty. Globally, thoroughly enjoyable experience - particularly, the bedding was comfortable and sumptuous (perspective perhaps skewed somewhat by meh bedding and pillows at previous property) and *love* Aesop toiletries (washed hands multiple times just to smell scent) - with a few very minor gripes: (1) No bathtub in Superior room (which is probably on me for not recognizing at booking, but was planning on end-of-day bath with a just-purchased Lush bubble bar, so this was a bummer); (2) Not surprisingly, holiday-decorated lobby was insanely busy with admirers and gawkers at all times (with exception of my 4:45 am departure, which is when I shot photo below); this carried over into Sazerac bar - that said, bartender service was attentive as it could be, but dissuaded from the "cool" vibe that the environment would otherwise suggest; (3) QR code in room linked to an outdated room service menu. Stated dinner options began at 4 pm, but *no* answer of the room service line (at all!) until my attempt shortly after 5 pm. Provided my order, but then informed that I was ordering items off of the spring menu. To hotel's credit, employee quickly recognized issue, and sent colleague up to room to physically provide current menu (from Fountain Lounge). Food expensive (as expected), but tasty. (4) Diamond credit not applied on initial folio - quickly resolved via chat function in app.
