Just finished a stay here and you get exactly what you pay for. So I think so long as expectations are managed you can’t really go wrong with this place. The neighborhood and quality of the service/rooms is reflected in the low price.

Do keep in mind the hotel seems very popular with locals for events as well as for its F&B. So the hotel gets super busy with outside folks, on top of already being quite busy as it’s such a large hotel. Because it’s so large the reception desk often had a line as well.

Another important thing to note is that across the street is a seedy red light district (not like in Amsterdam). But if you’re walking south you can get past that pretty quickly and it becomes nice. I didn’t think it was dangerous whatsoever, just a bit unpleasant.
