I don't think you can go wrong with either category and once you get to a full-size SUV or higher, you are normally going to get a good SUV, unlike the compact, intermediate, and standard SUV ones that have a couple in each that are questionable/undesirable.
Just rented at EWR and was given a Suburban after paying extra for a Jeep Grand Wagoneer reservation. I went back into ask and she insisted it was an upgrade. No GWs in sight so figured I’d just deal with customer service to try and get the difference refunded.

Agree both are great LARGE vehicles and the difference is really one of finish. If you need a biggest vehicle on the road SUV, both will do. And I prefer a Suburban to the Expedition from a drive and dashboard perspective.

But the customer service fail was annoying.
