We had a pretty decent stay here. The first two nights, Friday-Sunday, in a standard high floor corner room. Nice new build, with high quality mattress, pillows and sheets. Kohler bathroom fixtures. Built in toilet sprayer that is different from the standard Toto type, but seemed to work well.
Got their suite for the Sunday-Friday 5 night booking, at the last minute. Room 1518. The weekends at the mall are really crowded, so I’d guess looking for a free upgrade is going to be tough. The room was somewhat similar to our corner room, same bedding, but with a pullout sofa, desk, mini fridge. They even have a juicer, which was a first that I’ve seen in a standard suite.
The Open restaurant was pretty good. Pictures have already been posted, so I won’t replicate them here. Staff throughout the hotel were very good. I don’t believe they have a deluxe pizza oven like the main Diponegoro DT location. That showed in their very limited pizza menu. Both their pizza and pasta used the same red sauce, which was underwhelming. I asked for some penne pasta near the end of the stay, and they said it would take an hour.
I love green olives, and was very happy that they displayed multiple bottles of them on the food line. I loaded up a small plate of them, and they were the most sour green olives I had in my life. I ate a few, and that’s was it. The restaurant is a bit tight, space wise. It was pretty difficult to make my way through the food line with my big electric wheelchair.
They have an outside covered patio that smokers and vapers can use. No cross contamination inside, thankfully.
My kid got a couple of kids meals, which were pretty underwhelming. I got a Wagyu cheeseburger my last night, with fries and a side salad. It was pretty large, with a sunnyside egg on top of the burger. I’m generally disappointed in hotel burgers, but this one was juicy with really good flavor. Nice fries, a generous serving.

I did really enjoy having access to the attached mall. Food was hit or miss, I did enjoy the Jittlada Thai that is near the Doubletree security entrance. About $23 for two dinners, with a shared appetizer and nice sticky rice mango.
While award nights are usually just 20k per night here, the lack of a lounge, and difficulty using their pool area with my wheelchair, make the Diponegoro Doubletree the first choice. Their lounge is nice, and we routinely enjoy their huge lagoon style pool. Breakfast is second to none at Jakarta Hilton properties. We spent $30-40 most days on food and beverage at the mall. It was nice to go to the Aquarium, movie and arcade with my 12 year old. I’d say a 3-5 weekday stay is probably optimal, if you want to explore this huge mall, especially with kids or family.
We left at 1:45pm from Bintaro on Friday, and traffic on the tollways, and normal streets close to the Doubletree Diponegoro was pretty horrid. It took us over 1 hour 45 minutes to make it. Almost as long as it takes from Bandung, sometimes.
