We went back last January and still loved it. I think it was our sixth time. We booked a cosy room, which we've always really liked. But because we used a rate that gave a complimentary upgrade, we were given a studio suite, which was just fantastic. It turned out though that the heating wasn't working, so we had to change rooms to a lower floor. We love the sauna in the spa area. The only thing that we didn't like was the bar at the top late at night. We went one night, maybe midnightish, and we waited a very long time to be served. It was busy, the music was loud and quite techno-ish and the whole atmosphere just felt a bit cheap and not particularly welcoming, relaxing or stylish. It felt like a sort of bad 20something nightclub. I guess I'm just not that demographic anymore! But somehow the space and lighting just didn't work for me in that situation, whereas we absolutely love it when we have breakfast up there. Sitting by the window and slowly eating brek whilst looking out over Vienna is one of the most wonderful things. But yeah, late at night, it just lacked any sort of warmth. But we're going back in February. I've booked a cancellable rate that doesn't include breakfast. On the website it says, breakfast is 42 euros. Ouch, that's a lot! Does anyone know if they do a discounted price upon check-in?
