I’m surprised to hear that somebody might’ve asked you why you were contacting them. When booking a bike it is useful to just go on the ba.com chat, ask the operator (once you’ve bypassed the annoying bot) and tell them to put a BIKE SSR on your booking together with the dimensions and weight of the bike box.

there is a report that gets generated if more than 5 bike boxes are booked; this is very useful on shorthaul as space can be at a premium. Arriving early could help but in reality bike boxes are loaded last.

If you’re going with a group, or with a bunch of mates, please do that. It ain’t Mary Poppins’ bag down there.
