Yes some carrier fares have plating restrictions. However this would be a business class ticket, which usually don't. (Thiugh by no means is a hard rule)
That’s not even a soft rule. It’s not a rule at all. Indeed, the very first BR business class fare I checked — LAX-TPE RT — had a plating restriction limiting ticketing to BR or HR.
