BA actually has what I would consider a very reasonable mark up on PE vs E, for the extra personal space that it provides. I'm not particularly tall (just under 6') but most economy seats these days are just about up to my knees, and when the person in front reclines the back of their seat is literally right in my face. For me it makes the difference between dreading a flight and making it comfortable. Some airlines *cough, Qantas* generally charge double x economy for a PE seat.
