Greetings!

I was referred here from another forum (I honestly didn't know this existed).

I have a random occurance that is resulting in five days in Japan from Dec 28-Jan 2. I was planning the following:

1. Land at 3:20 on the 28th
2. Take the 6 pm train (or around there) to Osaka.
3. Spend Saturday night in Osaka.
4. Sunday head to Hiroshima for part of the day. I really only want to see the peace memorial. Unless I should see other stuff?
5. Head back to Osaka and go out that night again.
6. Leave for Kyoto at some point on the 30th.
7. Stay in Kyoto until the 1st.
9. Go to Mt. Fuji and stay at a local hotel (Onsun).
10, Head home at 5:20 PM on the 2nd.

I generally do not need long to see stuff. To put it in context I saw the Taj in about 3 hours the first time I went. If I spend two or three hours somewhere I am usually pretty good. I also do not need to see everything, I can always come back if I am interested. The only thing I wanted to see was the peace memorial at Hiroshima. But I could totally gut this itinerary and skip it if someone has a better choice. I am meeting friends here (we were going to meet somewhere in the western hemisphere but complications made that impossible). No one has a clue what we will do so we are looking around. Is there somewhere I should spend NYE? Maybe I start there and work backwards?
