I was HON from day 1, having the card presented personally by a Lufthansa Vorstand. I was also present at the FCT opening.
Since many years, I try all I can to avoid LH. I am flying LH F sometimes if I have to (CX does not offer any F out FRA currently) but prefer to book the Fraport VIP-Services over the FCT.
I understand why young people and mileage hunters want it, this is what that scheme seems to attract (including myself in the past). But if you "made it" you just book the flights that meet your schedule, and you cannot bribed by loyaltiy programs anymore. I have like 7 million LH miles still in my account and I try to use them -- but each time the flights are not available -- so I do not see the value.
