When you say the “signup bonus miles don’t count,” do you mean that the first $2000 spent won’t count towards earning EQMs?

I just signed up for the HA Barclays card, because I’m a little over 5k EQMs short of 75k gold on AS. My first purchase was just shy of $16k, which I thought would be enough to earn 6k EQMs, but now I’m wondering if $2k of that spend will go towards earning the 70k mile sign up bonus, and the balance will go towards the EQM promotion, meaning I need to quickly spend another $1k or so to get back over the $15k threshold to earn 6k EQMs? But then another nightmare scenario ran through my mind: what if the initial purchase will only count towards the sign up bonus, meaning I will only earn the 70k miles, and no EQMs, because it was a single transaction that can’t be used for multiple promotions??
