I travel frequently between LGW and IOM and I note that on the boarding passes from LGW it now states gate closes 1 hour before departure instead of the previous 40 mins. But on my booking confirmation it states that check in closes 40 mins before departure. I've raised this with customer services but they don't understand my question. i.e. how can the gate close 20 mins before check in closes? Anyone got any ideas about what is going on?
