Thanks for the detailed reply! Jordan would be a separate mileage run, so there would be no direct travel between the countries. In Jordan, I am thinking about Petra, the Dead Sea and maybe that valley where The Martian was filmed.
I am thinking about 3 days in Israel - it's really a mileage run with a bit of tourism thrown in. Looks like I won't be bored if I just focus on Jerusalem and Tel Aviv this time.
